RAKESH
Theek hai mein unse baat karta hoon

Rakesh drives the car to the adivasis tent and speaks to one of the adivasis standing there

RAKESH
Are suno , hum yahan se ja rahe the. Kya humein aaj raat yahan rukne ke liye jagah mil sakti hai.

Adivasi went to his head and informed. The head was very happy to greet them as guests.
DharamSingh, the head of the adivasis who has a big mustache and a very authority in his speech.  He orders one of the Adivasi to call the ladies to help the lady in the car as she was pregnant. The ladies come and support her and make her sit on the ‘khat’ that is placed near the camp fire and all the adivasis are sitting there. Rakesh is escorted by the head and made to sit with him. Music is going on in the BACKGROUND. Many adivasis are sitting and preparing for the dance. They share a drink and food and the adivasis sing along and make the night wonderful.

Hum banjare hum kabhi yahan kabhi vahan, Ek jagan nahin rahete.

The songs and the dance , food and drinks were over, and every one was ready to sleep. The night was silent, quite and the voices of animals were heard in the BACKGROUND
The female adivasis took Rekha and set up her bed and made to lie down. Savitridevi, an Adivasi lady, a middle aged , stong personality , was with her to help her .

SAVITRIDEVI
Aap yahan par let jao, agar kuch chahiye toh mujhe awaz dena. Raat bahut ho gayi hai.
REKHA
Je haan. Aap sabka bahut sukhriya, ke aapne hame rahne ke liye jagah di
SAVITRIDEVI
Koi baat nahin, yeh toh hamara farz hai.
REKHA
Aap kahan se aaye ho
SAVITRIDEVI
Hum toh banjare hai, kabhi yahan kabhi vahan, hamara ek thikana hai hi nahin. Abhi hum kuch din yahan rahkar phir dera bandhenge.
REKHA
Aise karte aapko takleef nahin hoti
SAVITRIDEVI
Hamari duniya hi aisi hai. Hum logon ka ek ghar hota hi naihn hai. Hum sab toh bnajare hai.
REKHA
Haan sach hai
SAVITRIDEVI
Theek hai, abhi so jaoo
REKHA
Theek hai!

After some time, Rekha experiences huge labor pains, and she starts shouting. Savitridevi  gets up and tries to pacify her, but in vain. She goes to Dharamsingh and he calls a ‘dai’ – Adivasi doctor – Manjari Dai Ma – an old lady of 60 years, with a skillful art of delivering a child at home.

Rakesh came running to Rekha and solaced her. Manjari Dai checked her

MANJARI DAI
Iske labor pains abhi nahin rukenge, yeh delivery abhi honi chahiye , nahin toh maan aur bache dono ko khatra hai.

Listening to this Rakesh was spell bound and he had no other choice to agree to it

RAKESH
Aap ko jo theek lage , lekin mere biwi aur bache ko kuch nahin hona chahiye
MANJARI DAI
Bhagwan pe rakhiye, kuch nahin hoga. Sab theek ho jayega. Aap baahar jaayiye, aur mujhe nita, savitri aur sona Garam pani lekar aao

All the arrangements were made and Rakesh with other people were standing outside the tent. Rekha’s crying voice is heard from inside and outside Rakesh is getting very nervous.

After some time another voice is heard, and that is of kid, who is born.
Savitridevi comes out and gives the good news

SAVITRIDEVI
Badhai ho, Rakesh babu, aapko do judwa bete paido hove hai.
RAKESH CLOSE UP
Expression - Very happy and proud
SAVITRIDEVI
Dono Maan aur Bache theek hai. Kuch der baad aap andar milne jaa sakte ho
RAKESH
Aap sabka bahut bahut dhanyawad

Manjari Dai comes out of the tent and tells

MANJARI DAI
Rakesh babu aap andar ja sakte hai

Rakesh enters the tent and is very happy to see Rekha and two sons.

RAKESH
Congrats Rekha. Thankyou tumne mujhe itni aachi gift di hai
REKHA
Thanks ke tumne jo mujhe saath diya

After some time they all sleep. They all are very much tired, both Rakesh and Rekha are excited so they cant sleep, they keep talking and enjoying their life.
Next day, Dai tells
MANJARI DAI
Rakesh babu, Kuch din tak aapke patni ko aaram karne ki bahut zaroorat hai. Uske liye safar karna bahut mushkil hai
RAKESH
Toh yahan koi rahene ka liye paas mein hotal ya koi ghar hai
DHARAMSINGH
Yahan aas paas toh kuch nahin hai. Is jangal ke ilawa.
RAKESH
Toh kya kiya jaye
DHARAMSINGH
Hum hai na. toh kya fikar. Tum log hamare saath yahan par kuch din dita do. Hum bhi yahan par kuch din hai. Aap bhi hamare mahman banke rahlo. Aur sab suvidhayein hai yahan par.
MANJARI DAI
Yeh toh bahut aachi baat hogi

Rakesh and Rekha agree and they decide to spend few days here.
They stay there, understand the adivasis life and feel amazed. This night they all were tired and they slept soon. All were fast asleep when a cheetah comes silently in search of food and enters the tent where mother and babies were sleeping. He took on of the baby in his mouth and left. No one knew.
Next day morning when they got up and saw that the baby was missing.
REKHA
Rakesh mera baccha gayab hai, kahan gaya mera beta.

Rekha took another child and clinched her with her heart tightly and started crying. All the adivasis came there and enquired.

RAKESH
Kisne dekha mere bate ko.

They search the place all around near the tent but could not find.

DHARAMSINGH
Yahan par toh bacha nahin hai. Hum kuch logon ko bhejte hai jangal mein talaash karne ko.

They were all in shock and decided to go for a baby-hunt in the jungle. But all their efforts were in vain.

SANJAYSINGH
Saab humne jangal ka kona kona chan mara, magar bacch kahin par nahin mila, hame maaf kar dena
DHARAMSINGH
Phir se jaake aachi tarah se dhoondo
They all went again to search in the jungle but they could not find, they returned empty handed
SANJAYSINGH
Saab maafi, bacha kahin nahin mila.
DHARAMSINGH
Rakesh babu hamein maaf kar dena. Aapka baccha nahin mil raha. Hum sabne bahut koshish ki.

Rekha and Rakesh were almost shocked and they started crying. They finally understood that they have lost one child, but they should be happy that they have one child alive in front of them. That day itself they decided to go back to their home.

They bid goodbye to adivasis and take their child and drive away home TRACK alongside the jungle and reach home – FADE OUT

Days passed, months went by and the years flew, the child grows up and they forgot the past. But the child that was picked up by the beast was very safe and sound and all the animals together were bringing up that child in that jungle.
